What can we learn from Facebook's stock drop?

Last updated 10 months ago

"The worst and best of American capitalism", was how Rob Cox (Reuters 'Breakingviews') defined the recent disappointing flop of Facebook in the stock market.

In this news report video from PBS, you’ll hear about what caused Facebook's stock drop and what challenges that they have to face now.

So it all started with the big hype of Facebook announcing their IPO (Initial Public Offering) just two months ago. Many people rushed out to get their own shares, even teenagers were doing so. The only problem in all this huge excitement was that these investors didn't want to spend $75 per share. This made Facebook lower the price to $38 which leads to a minus $100 billion valuation of the whole company. So what are their challenges now? Watch the video for answers.
